About the Role:
Eligo is delighted to be seeking a dynamic and innovative Software Developer to join our client's Organisation Development and Innovation team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation initiatives within the organisation, supporting the implementation of cutting-edge software solutions, and enhancing online services for their stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify new software solutions and digital opportunities through research and analysis.
Develop, test, and implement software applications to meet the functional and technical requirements of the projects programme of work
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to champion agile technology and immersive technology with end-user design.
Contribute to the development, maintenance, and upgrade of software applications supporting council operations and services.
Integrate Microsoft 365 applications and solutions to meet the organisations business and operational needs.
Support leadership in digitalisation, business development, and project management initiatives.
Collaborate with service leads to maintain a sustainable online platform and web presence.
Promote a culture of innovation and drive service improvement through digital initiatives.
Ensure delivery of digital projects in line with project management processes, while identifying and managing risks.
Support the on-going Digital Strategy and data analytics efforts.
Monitor, review, and evaluate digital projects, suggesting improvements based on gathered information.
Ensure compliance with council policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
A Degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, HTML/CSS, and Python.
Proven experience in identifying and delivering innovative software solutions, implementing online platforms, and developing collaborative relationships.
Knowledge of software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
Experience in Microsoft 365 development tools and technologies.
Desirable Criteria:
Working knowledge of Government Digital Service standards for user research, service design, and digital product design.
